When I think of the perfect winter beach photo session, I think of the Kerstetter family I had the opportunity to photograph last year! They showed up looking so nice all together with their styling, super classy yet casual beachwear + warmer layers as it was still pretty chilly here for 30A Florida. The sand was quite cold as expected, so I recommended they wear nice shoes they wouldn't mind being photographed in + I'm so glad I did because it made the session more enjoyable + comfortable for them. This family was so sweet - this photo session was a gift to their parents for Christmas to thank them for their beach trip. I truly can't think of a greater gift as a grandparent/ parent than spending time with family + having photos with your loved ones all together. I often found myself taking a quick second to capture little candid shots of what was happening to the side as grandad would play with little man, they were all so hands on with him it was heartwarming to watch. We had a pretty bright + harsher sunset which can sometimes make my job harder working around the full sun, but the water was full of those turquoise colors you can typically expect from winter on the Gulf Coast + made for such a pretty backdrop for their session. I just loved my time with this family + had to share a few of my favorites from their gallery!
