I'll never forget when this sweet mama reached out to me to book a family session. She described the difficult health journey her daughter had been on, + how this trip + these photos would be a celebration of everything she had overcome that year. It was so touching hearing her story + I felt so honored to be able to take their family photos. Mom wanted just a fun + chill session - seeing how much they were enjoying how freaking calm the gulf was that week + how crystal clear the water was from her instagram stories, I made the suggestion for them to hop in swimsuits towards the end of our session to get some fun water shots. She LOVED the idea so we ran with it! We all had so much fun playing around in the water getting the cutest shots of their family. The water was seriously like a bath tub, warm + completely flat. It was something I'll never forget. I definitely need more families to do some swim shoots because I promise we'll have the BEST time.
